2017-18 Proposed Budget Presentation

The Kendall Board of Education will hold the 2017-18 Proposed Budget, Transportation Reserve Fund Usage and Board Members Election Presentation at the David J. Doyle Junior/Senior High School on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. This meeting will provide all interested members with another opportunity to ask questions regarding the 2017-18 Proposed Budget and Transportation Reserve Fund Usage, plus a chance to meet those candidates running for the open Board of Education seats before the vote on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Voters will elect two trustees to the Board of Education for: a) one, five-year term commencing July 1, 2017 and expiring June 30, 2022 and b) to complete the term of May 17, 2017 to June 30, 2018 to fill the vacancy left by Martin Goodenbery.

Location: Kendall Elementary School Gymnasium

Hours: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Sample Ballot

Please see the sample ballot on display at the polling place in the Elementary School Gymnasium.

To vote, you must be:

  1. At least 18 years of age
  2. A U.S. citizen
  3. A legal resident of the Kendall Central School District at least 30 days immediately prior to May 16, 2017


  1. Do not have to own property.
  2. Do not have to register in advance.
  3. Do not have to be a parent or have children in school.

Voting Location

Voting will be in the Elementary School Gymnasium. This is due to the need for additional space with the use of the larger county voting machines as well as the need for extra security measures. Signs will provide voters guidance as to where to park and where to enter the building to vote. Please park in the back north parking lot of the school, past the playground. Entrance to the gym to vote will be through the back door of the gymnasium. The entrance will be handicapped accessible. Do not use the main entrance of the Elementary School to enter the building to vote. If you have any questions, please contact the District Office at 585-659-2741.

Absentee Ballots

Voters who are not able to vote in person on May 16, 2017 are eligible to vote by absentee ballot. Applications can be obtained through the District Clerk in person or by mail at: Kendall Central School District, Attn: District Clerk, 1932 Kendall Road, Kendall, NY 14476 or by calling 585-659-2741. Persons wishing to receive the ballot by mail must submit an application at least seven days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election if the ballot is to be delivered in person to the voter. Ballots must be received by the district clerk by 5 p.m. on May 16, 2017.
